In this diet, all foods and beverages are categorized into 3: Acidic, Neutral and Alkaline. The Alkaline Diet encourages the consumption of the most colorful variety of vegetables, fruits particularly citurs fruits, nuts,and legumes. However, this diet is strongly against the intake of dairy products, salty foods, grains and meat.

Foods that are considered alkaline should make up 75-80% of your diet. These foods include vegetables, fruits, fats and oils, seeds, nuts and grains and drinks such as pure water and herbal teas.
